Alcohol is a very popular depressant. In the United States and in many other countries, it is amongst the most used and abused substances. Individuals should not suddenly stop taking it, but instead should be gradually weaned off of it.
Muscle relaxers can be very beneficial to persons who suffer from muscle pain and/or stiffness. They may also be useful for those who have muscles injuries or some sort of muscle related condition or disorder. There are many different muscle relaxer options, both prescribed and over-the-counter.
Xanax is a benzodiazepine that is prescribed by physicians to treat individuals who suffer from anxiety and panic disorders. It helps to relax and calm users. It may also induce sleep. Xanax is habit-forming and it can be very difficult to stop using Xanax once a person has developed an addiction. It is important that individuals who have used Xanax for some time not stop taking it all at once. This can be very dangerous and seizures and convulsions may occur. It is therefore, important to work with a health professional or a rehab facility to be weaned off the drug safely.
